[Press] De:Bug No.87

Gelungen. poll *****

With Daniel Rizzo, Little Big Recordings presents a further promising newcomer from Zurich. For the last two years, he has dedicated himself to his electronic solo project Rizzo, which production is completely based on hardware such as Korg Electribe, ACCESS virus, Akai MPC 1000 and other gear.

With his playful minimal however songwriter-tech-house he is able to please our ears in a beautiful way whether as liveact, or, as this record proves, also as a producer.

Rizzo, with Secondo’s (Dreck Records/London) re-edit of the track Microglyven, gets the support of another Zuricher, Radovan Scasascia, founder of the rising cut-up-and-click label Dreck Records, which is based in London.

[Artist] Secondo

Swiss born electronic musician Radovan Scasascia, who lives and works in London and Zürich trained as an architect at the ETH in Zürich. He has worked for three years as both free lance and employed architect, before concentrating fully on electronic music, which he has been making since 1993.

He founded Dreck-Records with his long-time collaborator Laurent Benner in 2000 and has been releaseing music under the names Secondo and AM/PM.

Departing from existing popular songs of various origins, Secondo cuts his source material carefully into minute fragments in order to compose entirely new pieces of music - somehow maintainig the atmosphere of the original, but shifting away from it structurally and rhythmically.

Until now a cross-section of genres have been visited: hip hop, disco, chanson and pop music.
